Diversity stats

you should know

Creative industries largely influence how marginalized groups are perceived. We want more creatives of color at the table in these industries so we can authentically tell our own stories and inspire those that come after us to do the same.

Our Mission

Creative Noire was established in 2018 while our co-founders were volunteering for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City. Inspired by the work they were doing in their communities and understanding the lack of diversity throughout various creative industries they built Creative Noire.

  1. Diversify leading companies with brilliant creative leaders.

  2. Provide creatives of color with access to job opportunities & resources.

  3. Build a network of future collaborators.

85% of CEO's with diverse and inclusive cultures notice increased profits.

2.3% of corporate executives in advertising and media are Latinx people.

Only 1% of Fortune 500 companies have Black CEO's.

4% of corporate executives in advertising and media are Asian women.

About us

THE FOUNDERS

Our founders, coming from the worlds of advertising and fashion, joined forces to make a difference in their communities. They’re passionate about coming up with creative solutions to problems and collaborating with others to bring impactful projects to life. They couldn’t find a platform that allowed them to seamlessly collaborate and network with creatives of color, so they decided to build it themselves.

As a writer, he currently works at HBO Max and has worked on advertising campaigns for clients such as Coca Cola, Mike Bloomberg 2020, Diageo, and Blink Fitness. When he wants to solve a problem that can't be solved with only words, he puts a plan together, recruits other passionate stakeholders, and they build it together.

Giving Back

With Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC

Every year we partner with Bigs United, the black affinity group of BBBS, to produce our headshot event that provides FREE professional headshots for the professional and creative communities throughout New York City. African Americans make up 45% of youths served by BBBs. However, only 12% of mentors are African American. We use this event to recruit mentors of color for the waitlisted ‘Littles’ of BBBS. Our headshot event alone has increased the number of Black mentors by 25%. We strive to continue to do our part in providing the youth with mentors that look like them.
